Camp Director / Head Coach Sarah Davis

Sarah Davis, Director of Wooster Volleyball Camps, equipped with an extensive knowledge of the game and a wide variety of collegiate and camp coaching experiences enters her 12th year as camp director. Davis has been coaching NCAA Division III volleyball for the last 18 years. She is the winnest volleyball coach in Wooster history and has led Wooster to five top three conference finishes. In her second season at Wooster, Davis was honored by her peers as the North Coast Athletic Conference “Coach of the Year”.

Prior to Wooster she was a member of the coaching staff that led the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, a perennial top 25 team, to the 2004 NCAA tournament quarterfinals. She has coached 26 All-Conference players and 4 All-Americans. Davis was a defender and a right-side hitter during her collegiate career.

Off the court, Davis fosters an atmosphere focused on academics and service. The Scots have earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association “Team Academic Award” 11 of her 13 years, the most of any NCAC school during that stretch, and the team annually participates together in a significant service project each year, highighted by international trips to Costa Rica & Scotland. 

Youth camps and clinics have been an integral part of Davis’ professional experience. She directed the “Junior Eagles” youth volleyball clinics in La Crosse, WI and has been a part of camp staffs in California, Conneticuit, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Pennsyvania, and Wisconsin.  

Coach Davis earned her M.S. degree in Exercise Science - Physical Education Teaching with an emphasis in Adventure Education. She completed coursework for her K-12 Physical Education Teaching License and her camps are designed from an educator’s point of view. She and her husband Wes, a collegiate soccer coach, reside in Wooster with their daughters Nora, Eliza & Lillian.
